r4Architects - Fort Collins Architect
RESPONSIBLE DESIGN. RELIABLE EXECUTION.

At Camborne r4 Architects, our highest priority is the client. We have established our reputation by providing our clients with attentive SERVICE, QUALITY and VALUE. We understand you have options regarding your design team, and we approach each job by tailoring our services to your individual needs.

How do we do this? We believe every successful project begins with good communication. We are here to listen. We develop a clear understanding of the goals, schedule and expectations for each project. We use this information to assemble a design team that is familiar with these expectations, and is able to perform effectively in the interest of each project.

r4 Architects will establish milestones which will be used to gauge the success of the project and verify that all needs are being met. Through the use of sketches, graphics, perspective models and computer aided drafting, we can help each client visualize the design, track its progress and communicate their ideas.

Pictures talk. At r4 Architects, we efficiently utilize some of the most powerful 3-D parametric modeling software available. We quickly help you visualize your project in three dimensions, evaluate design options and create effective marketing materials to help you sell your project. In addition, our software will help us avoid coordination errors within our documents and assist us in delivering a very high quality set of design documents to your general contractor.

Below is an outline used to illustrate how we effectively combine sketches, graphics and technology to assist you with communicating your ideas. If you have questions, please contact us. We would be happy to discuss how we can tailor or services to fit your specific needs!

The Idea

design_process_1Most projects begin with an idea, a location and a set of parameters. At r4 Architects, we are often your initial contact and can provide experienced, conceptual site planning for our clients.

While incorporating site parameters, easements, parking counts and building offsets, we add value to our clients through our intricate knowledge of buildings, building codes and construction. Through quick sketches, reviews and analysis with other consultants, we can quickly help you determine the most flexible and efficient layout for your development.

design_process_2Let’s say you have a speculative building use or even an end-user determined.  r4 Architects can assist you with detailed programming and conceptual layout.  Successful projects begin with building layouts that are functional for the end-user and flexible for adaptation down the road.

Conceptual Design

design_process_3Once conceptual layouts have been established that fulfill the needs of the user, we can quickly model our plans and provide detailed area analysis.  These areas can be flexible for your needs and used for rent allocation, budgeting and financial assessment.

As the adjacent area plan indicates, lease documents can be visual as well as tabular.

design_process_4As we develop our floor plans and lease plans, we are simultaneously defining the building parameters for your project 3-dimensionally. This allows you to visualize your project and communicates our ideas more clearly.  Ultimately, we are able to streamline the design process and reduce the surprises down the road.

Construction Documents

design_process_5Construction Documentation defines the meat of any project.  We use the same 3-dimensional model file to create the spatial, dimensional and detail information of your project that will be used during the bid and construction process.

Our building models are ‘smart’ and allow us to identify discrepancies and reduce conflicts before they reach the field.  This results in better documents, more efficient construction and better value for the client.

3-D Visualization

design_process_6At any stage in the process, we can provide you with 3-dimensional visualizations and renderings to assist you in your decision making or leasing process.  The adjacent 3-dimensional view represents a low-resolution graphic.  Photorealistic representations are also available.
